Louis J. Tapia Jr., 63, of Kingston, peacefully passed away at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
Born August 11, 1960 in Nanticoke he was a son of the late Louis J. Tapia, Sr. and Helen Szczucki Raitter.
Lou was a contractor for many years before a tragic accident left him a quadriplegic. But he persevered and started a new venture with his son, Jason, assisting in the daily operations of Life Time Windows and Vinyl Siding in Edwardsville.
His wife of forty-five years Cindy Saporito Tapia; sons Louis Tapia III of Hampton, VA and Jason (Jay) Tapia of Kingston; granddaughters Haley Tapia of Hampton, VA and Kaitlyn Tapia of Kingston, will miss him very much. He is also survived by his sisters, Denise Coyle of Sweet Valley and Sherri Keener of Dallas, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Lou's family is grateful for the compassionate care he received from the ICU doctors and nurses.
Donations to The Miami Project or American Lung Association are preferred and will honor Lou's memory.
